The X Factor Semi Finals - The Round Up

Last night, the aromatic smell of victory was floating in the air as the final four took to the shimmering stage and sang their young hearts out for a place in next week's final ( I can't believe it has come so quick!!!). It feels like only yesterday that they were just fresh-faced auditionees wanting a shot at a music career and it is so impressive of how far they have come. Even if they don't win, it does not matter at all -  they are definitely guaranteed a career of some sort in music or any other sectors of the entertainment industry. Last night the pressure was on like Donkey Kong!!! The final four all sang two songs each - one Motown classic and one that they believe will get them into the final! It's crunch time!!!

Motown...

  • Little Mix took to the stage singing a classic from The Supremes and it honestly looked like their weakest performance to date as the vocals weren't all there. However, I still believe that they could win the show and will go on to have a successful career no matter what.
  • Marcus proved to be in his element as this week was practically made for him and he never failed to impress with a very groovy performance of My Girl.
  • Amelia Lily also tore up the stage in which she sung Ain't No Mountain High enough and proved to the public that they were right to bring her back and give her another shot.
  • Misha B made an impressive comeback performing Dancing in the Street after her third stint in the bottom two last week which she did not deserve by the way. I really loved the record disc dress and the 1960s-style hairdo - 'twas sooo cool!!!
'The Song that will Get you into the Final'...

  • Marcus seemed to have struggled with his second song, Can You Feel It? by The Jacksons where his vocals seemed to be a lot shakier than in previous weeks. Could be better I think...
  • Amelia had a rather surprising song choice where she sung Avril Lavigne's I'm With You, but she made that song her own and gave a very heartfelt performance.
  • Little Mix gave a rather interesting interest of If I Were a Boy by Beyonce but it seemed like they struggled a bit and was their weakest performance yet, but I still have faith...
  • Misha B gave more of a stripped down performance of Pink's Perfect later on that evening where she gave another powerful performable - does it really matter if she won't win, Gary? Really? She'll go on to big things indeed so it doesn't matter either way...
