The X Factor Live Show Week 5 - The Round Up

And then there were nine!!! Note to Dermot O'Leary: As much as I love you and think that you look very dapper in those suits every week, Halloween was last week and we therefore do not need your dancing every week. Sack the zombie choreographer!! Anyways, it was time to whip out those dancing shoes and get the mirrorballs out. It was Club Classics week, but who completely painted the town red and who was just murder on the dancefloor (not in a good way either)?

  • Johnny gave a rather peculiar performance where he started off by singing Hung Up by Madonna then Dead or Alive's You Spin Me Round (Like A Record). At least he wasn't in drag. Gary Barlow didn't like it (unsurprisingly) but he didn't sing that badly. He should either sang one song or the other just NOT both. Sounded too weird, methinks. I say just keep him in to annoy Gary and for bants. A mockery of this competition?! Come on Gary! What about Jedward and Wagner?! No one made more of a mockery out of this competition more than Jedward!!!
  • Janet was dragged right out of her comfort zone by finally receiving the opportunity to do an uptempo song where she even forgot the words. Her hair looked really nice though but she looked so uncomfortable on that stage when she sang the Jackson 5 I Want You Back. She needs to stick with her own style.
  • Craig definitely had it going on where he sang Heaven and he provided us with an interesting dance routine to accompany his song. He proved himself to be a very versatile act - that he can do both uptempo and down tempo songs!!
  • The Risk also proved to be stronger than ever with the rather cheesy boyband thing with the clichéd microphone stands, black and white outfits and the synchronised choreography and I was loving Derry's rap as well.
  • Marcus went very Bruno Mars on us and provided us with a rather colourful and soulful performance. He proved to be in his element as Club Classics week proved to be his week!!
  • Kitty then took to the stage with her rendition of Madonna's Like A Prayer with another big performance (with no burning crucifixes though). She did strip off her big gown down to a leotard.  It is true, what Gary said,  she can't dance though.
  • Frankie performed something very poppy (for him anyway), The Black Eyed Peas's I Gotta Feeling. The vocals were nowhere near up to scratch and he was slightly out of time too. Louis said he was never gonna be a rockstar. I agree with Kelly though where she said you shouldn't tell someone that they are never gonna be something, no matter how true it may be. It is really horrible!! That will just make them stronger!!
  • Misha B came back fighting with a more 'natural' look and completely painted the town red with her rendition of Tina Turner's Rolling. The song could not have suited her any better!!! She proved that she did not deserve to be in the bottom two last week!!!
  • Little Mix lit the place up with their outfits that they allegedly borrowed from Johnny's wardrobe. They also blew up the stage and broke the curse of the girlbands on The X Factor with their rendition of Rihanna's Don't Stop the Music!!
Also: There will be a double elimination, meaning that the club is shutting down for two of the contestants and that they are going to be thrown out and barred from the club for good!! Mwahahahahahah!!!
